Userlytics, an online, video-in-video marketing and advertising research service for qualitative testing, has announced the launch of a white-label version of its platform. The new offering will allow data-driven enterprises to integrate Userlytics’ proprietary testing and analysis solution into their existing research tools or to offer it as a standalone, private-label product.

Currently utilized by customer insight managers, brand managers, agencies, researchers and software developers, Userlytics allows organizations to test their campaigns, applications and other online and offline properties with relevant audiences around the world, receiving full audio/video feedback via participants’ combined webcams and desktop screen recordings. With the white-label option, organizations can bring the functionality of the Userlytics solution in-house, enabling them to recruit testers, manage and run tests, analyze results and share findings with colleagues from a single, easy-to-use dashboard.

Firms have the flexibility to run the white-label solution completely in house or to outsource some capabilities such as participant recruitment and QA testing of video results to Userlytics.

“Market research practitioners have long been hindered in their ability to rapidly collect qualitative data from specific demographic samples by the expense and time required to design and run in-person focus groups or usability labs,” says Alejandro Rivas-Micoud, CEO of Userlytics. “By combining our unique video-in-video compositing platform with the targeting capabilities of digital marketing, we have brought the benefits of a qualitative research lab online, enabling organizations to design, run and analyze tests in a matter of days rather than weeks or months.”

A Web-based presentation of capabilities, including example clips of specific use cases, is available.

The interactive testing solution used by video-based in-home marketing and advertising customer research service Userlytics just got a whole lot better for marketers, brands and businesses.

Userlytics' core offering, a solution that allows agencies and brands to qualitatively test and refine their marketing campaigns and creative with relevant audiences worldwide, will be receiving a pretty significant upgrade that will include a comprehensive new suite of demographic targeting capabilities.

The company claims that these new abilities will provide a level of granularity to the participant recruitment process that was not possible before.

While before testers could only be selected based on limited criteria like country, gender, age, education, employment status and family status, Userlytics clients can now filter through a variety of new, user-specific demographics at no additional charges.

The new demographics that can be studied by Userlytics include: salary/household income, cellular phone/tablet usage (e.g. iPhone, BlackBerry, iPad), service subscriptions (e.g. cable, Netflix, DirecTV), electronic devices (e.g. TVs, cameras, printers) and service providers (e.g. Comcast, Verizon, Sprint).

Along with the launch of these new demographics, Userlytics is also going to be launching new targeting filters that will allow companies to recruit test participants at any level of demographic attribute specification and located anywhere in the world, which can be done at a fraction of the cost and time required by traditional research methodologies.

Do you use Userlytics to study your video-based marketing strategies? Do you think that these new changes will be useful or beneficial to your business or brand?

Usability and remote testing platform Userlytics released an enterprise version of its interactive testing solution this week.

The enterprise-ready platform will provide an executive summary of key events and comments which are linked to the relevant video and timelines. Enterprise users can also download the composited “Video in Videos” (ViV) – video of the tester synched with the video of their onscreen activity – for use in presentations and internal media, and be able to annotate each participation video to highlight important user feedback.

“Despite the wealth of available metrics, marketers and designers are faced with a qualitative blindspot when it comes to analyzing the success or failure of a campaign or digital property,” said Alejandro Rivas-Micoud, CEO of Userlytics. “They may know the click-through rates of various demographics for a particular ad or the abandon rate on an e-commerce site, but they generally don’t know the ‘why’ behind these numbers. With Userlytics, agencies and brands can actually ride alongside as target audiences, in the real world context of their home or work, interact with ads, videos, applications and websites. No other solution provides this type of rich multimedia record of users’ actions, thoughts and feelings or is as easy, fast and cost-effective to use.”
