Web-based solution company Silverpop is spreading holiday cheer with the launch of a Facebook marketing innovations sweepstakes.
The sweepstakes campaign runs through January 2012, and offers marketers the chance to win prizes while Silverpop makes donations to charity: water, a non profit organization that brings clean and safe drinking water to developing nations.
“The holidays mark the season to celebrate success, as well as to reach out and help others,” says Eric Holmen, senior vice president of marketing for Silverpop. “Silverpop is launching this sweepstakes so marketers can voice their challenges and hopes for the new year, in addition to supporting a terrific cause. We’ve worked with charity: water in the past, and we know from firsthand experience that it’s an exceptional organization.”
The campaign targets marketers and runs exclusively on Facebook. For each new fan, the company will donate $1 to charity: water, with a maximum of $5,000 – which happens to be the average cost of a water project that will provide clean water to an entire community. Furthermore, one participant will win a $100 American Express gift card each week, as well as one participant to be selected to win a new MacBook Air at the end of the campaign.
