But once the visitors are at the site, how do you keep them there?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A new study from social plugin provider &lt;a href="http://www.gigya.com/" target="_blank"&gt;Gigya&lt;/a&gt; reveals that providing site visitors with social login options can impact user engagement and increase time spent on-site.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the study, users that log in with a social network spend 50 percent more time on site, with an average of 12 minutes for social login, 8 minutes for standard login and 5 minutes for no login.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Site visitors that were logged in through a social network were also found to view double the number of pages. With an average of 10 page views for social login, 5 page views for standard login and 4 page views for no login.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And although most users prefer to login with Facebook (61%), online businesses should still provide multiple social login options because 15 percent of users prefer to login with Yahoo, 12 percent choose Google, 10 percent select Twitter and 2 percent prefer LinkedIn.&lt;/p&gt;
