Cloud-based marketing and public relations software Vocus launched its Winter '14 release this week, introducing several enhancements worthy of note.
In addition to an updated user experience (which happens to highlight commonly used features by individuals within the interface), users will also have access to real-time filters on the media and outlet search results. Users will be able to drill down into publisher tier, type, medium, subject, DMA, location, influencer designation as well as the media contact's role.
Vocus users will also be able to make last minute edits to PRWeb releases, changing distribution options or rescheduling emails without the threat of losing data. Subscribers to the Vocus Streaming Broadcast have new editing tools that will enable them to alter viewo clips directly within the PR Suite.
Over the past few years Vocus (VOCS) has acquired several companies to build out its cloud-based marketing tools, including the acquisition of iContact in early 2012 and North Social in early 2011.
