To become a successful small business not only must you have a meticulously planned strategy but you must also understand all of the rules that govern how you do business.
One of these rules is Internet sales tax.
Avalara, a provider of cloud-based software that helps companies with sales tax and other transactional taxes, has recently announced a partnership with GoDaddy.
Through the new partnership, the two companies aim to bring more affordable sales tax management solutions to small businesses selling online. Considering each state has their own tax laws it can be hard for small businesses to constantly stay up to date on the rates they must charge. Now, small businesses that leverage the GoDaddy Online Store platform to sell their goods will have the power of Avalara behind them to carefully calculate how much tax stores should be charging consumers for each sale.
“Tracking and calculating taxes can be one of the more tedious aspects to deal with while running an online store,” said Sandeep Grover, head of product, presence and commerce at GoDaddy. “Our partnership with Avalara will allow GoDaddy Online Store customers to easily manage and remain up-to-date on increasingly complicated tax regulations, saving time and helping them focus on growing their business.”
