There are few things as advantageous to companies as knowing a customer's intent. But how do you go about finding out what users really want?
Lexalytics, a text mining company, has announced a newest version of their Text Analytics engine, dubbed Salience 6, which aims to provide Internet professional some insight.
The most unique feature of Salience 6 is its intention analysis capabilities. Through intention analysis Salience 6 helps brands determine whether a customer’s intent is to buy, sell, recommend or quit. The new iteration of the Text Analytics engine decides customer intent by examining their original statement not only figures out what the customers intent is but also who the intendee is along with the object they are referencing.
“Good computational performance always fights with accuracy in text mining results. Big data is uninteresting if you can't actually process all of it in a timely fashion with useful results,” said Seth Redmore, vice president of marketing at Lexalytics. “As shown by what we can do with the Syntax Matrix and intention analysis, we can extract rich, actionable features from text and do so quickly and efficiently."
