As consumers and businesses continue to turn to the cloud for a variety of needs, cloud providers must think of ways to attract users and set themselves apart from their competition.
With the hope of enticing users to its solution, FileChat has announced the launch of its social cloud platform.
The new platform delivers a swath of new features to the cloud storage experience including the ability to all users to chat, “like” and vote on any file within the platform. Supporting Dropbox and Google Drive, FileChat users are able to access their documents on both desktops and mobile devices where in addition to performing edits and updates on files, users can also get real-time notifications for every event or update on the cloud platform.
FileChat states it plans to increase the number of cloud platforms it supports in the coming months including, among others, OneDrive, Box and Amazon Cloud Drive.
“Proven cloud storage solutions such as Google Drive and Dropbox need an easy and common way to make collaboration and messaging more effective for businesses and consumers alike.” said Alberto Escarlate, CEO of FileChat. “The new FileChat application gives users complete control over their cloud and will usher in a new way of managing documents and files and discussing them in one single user-friendly platform.”
