Spend enough time in an industry and you’re bound to find ways to improve it.

That was Acquity Group – since acquired by Accenture – when its founders Matt Schmeltz, Chris Dalton, and Paul Weinewuth presented both the B2B and B2C industries a unique solution to the customer experience it desperately required to help generate online sales.

Not only did Acquity Group present unique ways to build websites and apps in the business-to-consumer (B2C) space, according to Dalton, but it also solved business challenges associated with business-to-business (B2B) commerce – some of which serve as the foundation for a new company that those same three founders have recently launched.

“CloudCraze is the first and only enterprise-class B2B cross-channel product running natively on the Salesforce Platform,” said Dalton. “Its unique cloud-based implementation brings average time down to 8-12 weeks from 9-12 months and to as little as a fifth of the cost. As the market continues to grow and the lines continue to blur in B2B2C, e-commerce platforms need to be flexible and agile - able to quickly adjust for changing internal procedures and scale for growth. “

Dalton believes he and his partners have an incredible opportunity to take on the perfect storm of the fractured e-commerce space, maturity of the Salesforce software-as-a-service (SaaS) marketing and the shift to B2BB2C.

“Historically, it has taken a lot longer and been more expensive for customers to start from scratch and implement a custom solution to commerce,” said Dalton. “CloudCraze allows customers - especially those already on Salesforce - to have a much faster implementation process that starts with a base and includes other features as is necessary for their solution. CloudCraze being built on Salesforce also offers another unique solution on the back end, helping marketers, supply chain managers and internal operations track analytics and progress of orders, allowing them to even communicate directly on the platform in the case of an issue.”
