Google has unveiled a Q&A feature for its Slides presentation service.
The feature, which is rolling out globally, enables speakers to connect with their audience and collect real-time feedback. Speakers can add a link to their Slides presentation and audience members can submit questions from their phones, laptops and tablets. What’s more, audience members can vote on the questions they want answered the most. The update is tolling out on Android, iOS and the Web.
In addition to the Q&A feature, Google notes it is improving the “show up, don’t setup” experience for presentations in two ways. For starters, users can now present their slides to a Hangout from their iPhone or iPad. This means that with just a phone or tablet and the Slides app, users can present on any screen using Chromecast, AirPlay or Hangouts. In addition, Google is introducing a new laser pointer on the Web for those who like presenting from a computer.
