Google is launching new and updated tools for its enterprise clients.
For starters, the tech company unveiled an enterprise tool called Springboard that helps users find information quickly. The tool searches across all of a user’s information in Google Apps, including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Contacts and more. In addition, Springboard helps users throughout the workday by proactively providing information and recommendations.
“Google is no stranger to helping enterprise customers sort through their corporate information and making it more useful for employees. We’ve been a leader in Enterprise Search for nearly 15 years and have partnered with some of the largest companies in the world,” Google said in its announcement. “As we continue to invest in applying technologies like machine intelligence to power our web search engine, we’re working on a new way to bring all of this power to the enterprise: Google Springboard.”
In addition to Springboard, the tech company unveiled a rebuilt Google Sites. Google Sites is a popular enterprise product that enables users to build pages to aggregate and distribute content across their organization. The updated product features drag-and-drop design, real-time collaboration for multiple editors and provides access to all of a user’s content from Calendar, Docs, Drive, Maps and more. What’s more, the site includes themes and layouts designed to scale for all screen sizes – from desktops to mobile phones.
Google notes that it has been previewing Springboard and the new Google Sites with a small set of customers, but is extending each of the new apps to more customers through its Early Adopter Programs.
