The Land Rush has ended and general availability has begun on two new Chinese generic top-level domains (gTLDs).
.在线 (.online in Chinese) and .中文网 (.website in Chinese) became available for public purchase on April 28. TLD Registry LTD., the company that rolled out the new gTLDs, announced the sale of more than half a million dollars in premium domain names during the Land Rush period, which ended April 24.
Since the new gTLDs became available .online in Chinese has risen to number four on ntldstats.com list of the top 30 new gTLDs, with 29,719 domain names being registered. Conversely, .website in Chinese sits at number 11 on the list, with 14,213 domain names registered.
