In addition, CloudIDM/AM 3.0 comes with multi-directional password synchronization between the system’s identity management solution, Active Directory and/or Lightweight Director Access Protocol (LDAP), as well as a federated gateway that allows access to an application or website, a dynamic self-service portal and centralized GUI-based workflow automation. "We've taken the next evolutionary step to integrate the key capabilities of provisioning, multi-factor authentication and role-based workflow management with an advanced single sign on for SaaS and legacy applications and manage it all from the cloud," said Kevin Nikkhoo, CEO of CloudAccess. Because of a proliferation of SaaS applications, increased complexity with “bring-your-own-deivce” and general user mobility, many organizations these days are suffering from more and more vulnerability gaps. As a result, regulatory agencies have made it a legal requirement to continuously monitor and report on user access. So, straight out of the box, the newly updated CloudIDM/AM system will include the streamlined ability to automate compulsory reporting in a way that satisfies the compliance governance for...(read more)

HostUpon Taps SiteLock for Site Protection Services

Website security is proving increasingly important for businesses large and small - and it looks as though the hosting vendors will be those responsible, at least in part, for providing protection.

Shared and VPS hosting provider HostUpon has announced that it has joined forces with website security solution SiteLock to offer website scanning security to new customers. SiteLock's scanning package provides an initial website scan to check applications for infiltration's, then performs daily malware and network scans. Once a website is determined to be secure, that site is able to display a SiteLock Trust Seal on their webpage.

HostUpon will be offering SiteLock's services through the company's brands, HostHero and UptimeHost to the over 17,000 domains it supports.

“We’re really excited about partnering with SiteLock, since they’re known to be a heavy hitter with a remarkable reputation in the industry,” says HostUpon CEO, Alfez Zelji. “The driving factor for us is the additional security they will bring forward. Website security is a big focus for us, since our clients have always been paramount within our mission. Giving our clients the ability to use SiteLock to enhance website security is the number one priority for our quality, service and overall offering.”

Those behind Carberp spent time not just on the configuration file, but also making sure they have a method in place to compromise two factor authentication schemes. The Trojan uses heaviliy dynamic JavaScript hosted on a valid HTTPS website.

Andreas Baumhof, CTO of TrustDefender comments, “The evolution of Trojans such as Carberp highlights how Trojans use complex behaviour to employ intelligent guises and commit fraudulent activity. Financial institutions and enterprises need to provide appropriate security, beyond traditional AV software to reduce the risks of fraudulent activity.”
