CloudAccess Integrates Identity and Access Management

Cloud-based unified security solution provider CloudAccess has recently announced version 3.0 release of its CloudIDM/AM system, featuring seamless, “unique” integration between enterprise identity management and access controls (i.e. single sign-on and access management) from the cloud. In addition, CloudIDM/AM 3.0 comes with multi-directional password synchronization between the system’s identity management solution, Active Directory and/or Lightweight Director Access Protocol (LDAP), as well as a federated gateway that allows access to an application or website, a dynamic self-service portal and centralized GUI-based workflow automation. HostUpon Taps SiteLock for Site Protection Services

Website security is proving increasingly important for businesses large and small - and it looks as though the hosting vendors will be those responsible, at least in part, for providing protection.

Shared and VPS hosting provider HostUpon has announced that it has joined forces with website security solution SiteLock to offer website scanning security to new customers. SiteLock's scanning package provides an initial website scan to check applications for infiltration's, then performs daily malware and network scans. Once a website is determined to be secure, that site is able to display a SiteLock Trust Seal on their webpage.

HostUpon will be offering SiteLock's services through the company's brands, HostHero and UptimeHost to the over 17,000 domains it supports.

Carberp Beating Two Factor Authentication

TrustDefender Labs has released an analysis into how the new Trojan Carberp infiltrates websites and highlights the impressive JavaScript injection code used.

Those behind Carberp spent time not just on the configuration file, but also making sure they have a method in place to compromise two factor authentication schemes. The Trojan uses heaviliy dynamic JavaScript hosted on a valid HTTPS website.

Andreas Baumhof, CTO of TrustDefender comments, “The evolution of Trojans such as Carberp highlights how Trojans use complex behaviour to employ intelligent guises and commit fraudulent activity.
