How often does this happen: You come across an interesting story, read a few lines then hit
more to read the rest of the story. Only you can't because they want your email address first - darn those pesky subscription walls. But you don't want to give out your email address because you get enough solicitations and spam as it is.
Incognito Mail has a solution. At this site, you can sign up for a temporary email address. Then you can enter the address into any site that requires registration to receive a password or login information. You can also reply to these emails - say, for verification purposes. The email address lasts for one hour, but you can re-up for another hour, if needed. Great tool for when you want to temporarily access some information but don't want to receive marketing materials in perpetuity. However, there is a dark side to Incognito Mail - read about it at the
Website Magazine blog.
