Mere hours until the weekend. Or a few hundred minutes, whichever makes you feel better. Here are a few sites to help you get there. This week's theme is retro:

Retroland: Everything to spark memories of the good life. When the Apple IIe was a technological wonder and the Magic 8 Ball was helping you with life's toughest decisions. Mostly consisting of nostalgia from the 70's - 90's, browse categories like TV Shows, Toys, Music, Fashion and my favorite, School Daze (does Ditto Paper ring a bell?) Retroland also has some networking features so you can wax nostalgic with friends.

The Free Information Society/Historic Sounds: Hear MP3s of some of history's most important events. Lou Gherig's "I consider myself ... the luckiest man ...," Apollo 11's "Houston, we have a problem," Winston Churchill's "Finest Hour" and many, many more.

The Wayback Machine: An old favorite. Enter any URL and pick from a resulting list, showing indexed pages from that site's inception to its current state.

adflip: When I was a kid I would visit my grandparents in Virginia. For some reason there were always some really old magazines around and I remember flipping through them and checking out all the old ads. Adflip does the same thing. Peruse print ads from the 50's - 90's. The site is a little clunky, but interesting nonetheless.
