There's a tool out there that will take the audio from any YouTube video and extract it, making it available as an MP3 file. It's called Vmeste.fr (catchy!) and does a nice job delivering exactly what it promises. Simply enter the URL of the video, or the location of a file on your machine, and the application will start the process. It takes about a minute for a good quality file - Internet Explorer took longer than Firefox, and hit a snag along the way. What you get in return is another URL on a page which you can then save to your hard drive and include in your library of music.

This is a great tool for music videos you find, live music, instructional videos ... or just about anything else that doesn't require video.
