Due to popular request from users, Pandora has released a desktop application for your streaming music needs. The biggest advantage? Pulling the utility out of the browser means that you can avoid accidentally closing the window, navigating away from the page, or experience disruptions when another browser-based utility is loading.

The desktop app will feature advertising and looks pretty much the same as the browser-based version. It is in beta and early reports say that it's a bit buggy. They are soliciting feedback on the service, so feel free to report any problems you experience, at beta-feedback@pandora.com.

But pulling the utility out of the browser forces downloads which is against corporate policy at many enterprises. How will we listen to music if Pandora abandons what made them so successful in the first place!
