McAfee has warned anyone still using IE6 to upgrade to IE7 to avoid security threats. "Until a patch is available, we advise IE6 users to disable scripting in the browser or upgrade to IE7 to avoid potential exploitation due to the public disclosure of this vulnerability," said McAfee's Yichong Lin.

A second beta version of IE8 is due out in August.
