Exibeo provides support services and products for trade shows, showrooms, corporate information centers, retail environments and promotional events. Exibeo now wants to have a have a web presence and wants create a website which will act as catalogue for the product and services offered. Visitors will have capability to browse through informational pages such as about us, terms & conditions, contact us and navigate through various product categories. Products, rentals, design gallery, graphic services are the main categories. Website will have three levels of product categories with parent –child relationship. Header area in home page will have logo, slogan and keyword search. Left panel in home page will have tabs for home, about us, products, rentals, design graphics, graphic services and contact us, which can be expanded and collapsed to view sub-categories under each section. Primary display area in the home page will have showcase listing which is a collage of product. This can be managed through admin panel. Below showcase listings each category in products section will be displayed in 3*3 matrixes with image and text, upon clicking on image user can see sub-categories and products. Website will have contemporary design with web 2.0 look and feel. Creating a user friendly website with easy navigations, security and anti hacking will be top priority. CMS will be provided to manage content throughout the site. Admin panel will have control of entire site with features like manage product categories, file manager, user rights to name few. The proposed site will have a centralized LINUX server (Red Hat or Fedora or CENTOS or any equivalent variant) with a MYSQL 5 database. The application will be made in PHP 5 and will be optimized for SEO friendliness. URL masking and standard SEO friendly practices will be followed. DIV/CSS layouts will be used for public pages. SQL Injection Vulnerability will be adequately protected.
Feature list
There are 2 types of users in this application. They are listed below with a quick one-liner on their role in the system:
- Site Visitors – These are unregistered public visitors who open the site by typing the URL in browser and can navigate through the informational content and product categories.
- Admin Users – They will be typically employees of Exibeo who have been given an administrator login with selective delegation of rights.
In this section, we have provided a list of capabilities that our proposed application will provide to each of the user types. A brief summary is provided for every user followed by a table which has the list of features and a short description of how it works.
Site Visitors These are public visitors who can browse through the site and known about products and services offered, terms & conditions and other informational pages.

Keyword search is provided in the header area and appears on every page. Search leads to a results page where the matched listings are provided in a row layout with call for action links such as view listing details. The search results page has pagination as well as an A-Z index.

Admin Panel Admin Panel is the control panel for the super user and any admin staff to whom specific rights are delegated. Users, permissions, content and settings can be managed from this section. This is an interface where admin user can add new product categories and sub-categories in the website. This web application will have three levels of product categories. It works like a parent child relationship. While adding a product category one needs to mention the level and parent relationships. Abilities include add/edit/delete categories and sub-categories.
