Mobile analytics firm App Annie has announced two new products that will help developers address the paid and organic discovery of their applications.
Positioned alongside its existing trio of products - Store Stats, Analytics, and Intelligence - App Annie is releasing the free Advertising Analytics service and the App Store Optimization (ASO) service. Advertising Analytics is intended to help optimize paid app discovery, while the ASO service is designed for organic app discovery.
App Annie's Advertising Analytics service will allow developers to connect revenues and downloads from iOS, Android and Amazon app stores with advertising data culled from different digital advertising platforms. Developers will, for the first time, be able to see how ad campaigns are influencing downloads, rankings, and revenue, gaining a clearer picture of revenues generated through store purchase and from advertising.
While Advertising Analytics will handle the paid side, App Annie's App Store Optimization service aims to focus on organic optimization. The new ASO tools provide access to metrics important to increasing organic search traffic. The tools show which apps are ranking for key search terms and reveals competitors on terms currently in use in developers existing ASO campaigns.
