Square Unveils Analytics Tool

Square is bolstering its offerings for small businesses once again, as the business solutions provider has added analytics to its Register service.

The new reporting and analytics tool provides sellers with data that can be leveraged to better serve customers and increase sales. Moreover, the new offering integrates into the full suite of Square Register products, including Pickup, Invoices and Appointments.

With Square Analytics, sellers can view how their business is performing in real-time, check on data for their most popular products and determine how their business is performing compared to competitors. In addition, the solution offers sales trend insights, including updates on sales hourly, daily and monthly. With this data, sellers can make important business decisions, such as stocking up on inventory or choosing to keep the store open later hours.

It is also important to note that Square Analytics offers buyer insights that enable sellers to view valuable customer information. For instance, sellers can identify new vs. returning customers, as well as view data on customer frequency, recency and average customer spend.
