3dcart Adds Blogging, Gift Registry and More

A new update to the 3dcart platform is providing merchants with a variety of improvements, including simple return merchandise authorization (RMA) processing, a customer relationship platform (CRM), an easy-to-use gift registry for customers, e-commerce blogging capabilities, store credits and new payment platforms.

3dcart powers more than 17,000 stores across the world and offers more than 80 themes, including 10 new themes from its latest release. To make editing easier, 3dcart rebuilt its Product Editor based on previous customer feedback. The new editor features a sleeker design that helps with visual organization and makes navigation more intuitive and product optimization easier for merchants.

“Thus far, 3dcart’s 2016 updates hone in on the areas where our online stores most need organization and efficiency,” said 3dcart CEO Gonzalo Gil. “As always, offering online stores the flexibility to integrate with third-parties is top of mind. We’ve also spent time updating some core shopping cart features, both on the front and the back ends.”

When it comes to new third-party integrations, 3dcart added support for payment processing service Vantiv in its new release and extended Amazon Login and Pay with Amazon to more than 17,000 active online stores. What’s more, merchants can leverage Zapier to integrate 3dcart with more than 500 different Web apps. This means that merchants can use Web hooks to enable an event (such as a purchase) to a notification to another site (like a third-party order management platform).

It is important to note that 3dcart’s updated RMA functionality helps ease the return process. For instance, customers can send pictures and other files associated with the return to store owners, which helps reduce the instances of abuse. Additionally, the platform’s built-in CRM module allows customers to communicate with the online business and includes functionality that enables customers to upload file attachments when submitting their requests.

3dcart’s update also offers a new marketing checklist to help guide merchants on ways they can increase their exposure online, as well as new Abandoned Cart Saver emails for customers who leave with unbought products still in their carts. Lastly, new front-end management features from the update include blogging functionality that stays consistent to a merchant’s storefront designs. Moreover, 3dcart’s gift registry helps merchants spread the word about their business via referral marketing.
