3dcart Integrates with Universal Analytics

3dcart is preparing its merchants for powerful analytics, as the e-commerce service provider announced that it has proactively integrated with Google Universal Analytics.

“We understand that Google’s newer Universal Analytics might appear to be slightly more complicated than the previous version of analytics,” said Joe Palko, 3dcart’s chief marketing officer. “However, thanks to our integration, integrating Google Universal Analytics is no more difficult than checking a box inside of our 3dcart Online Store Manager. And, not only is it easy, it is powerful.”

According to the 3dcart blog, Universal is expected to improve Analytics’ data processing, collection methods and give its analysis tool a boost. For users, this means the ability to connect multiple devices, sessions and engagements to a single User ID. By gathering and analyzing data for all of a single User’s ID activity, Google will be able to provide 3dcart merchants with more precise visitor counts and data reports on customers’ experiences. In addition, Universal Analytics enables users to leverage new and more flexible data collection methods, use simplified and more accessible configuration options, create custom dimensions and more.

The 3dcart announcement notes that the new system opens up the collection of segment data, product detail data and other data that will lead to capturing more leads and evaluating the effectiveness of customer loyalty programs. 3dcart merchants can upgrade to the new analytic offering by enabling Universal Analytics in their Online Store Manager.
