4 Mobile Ads that Convert

Posted on 6.30.2014

Google has reported that 4 in 5 consumers use search engines to find local information. As such, 4 in 5 consumers also want ads customized to their city, zip code or immediate surroundings.

With those findings in mind, let’s take a look at four mobile ads that will likely lead to immediate action – whether that’s a call, in-store visit, online purchase or more.

Search: Local SEO Services

The first paid search ad works because the local SEO services company leverages the click-to-call extension to enable users to contact its business quickly and easily from their mobile phones (Google reports that call extensions have typically increased clickthrough rate by 6-8 percent), as well as the sitelink extension, which sends searchers deeper into its website, which may be a high-converting page on its website.

Search: jeep dealership san diego

The first paid search ad works because, again, it uses the call extension and sitelinks extension and includes its value proposition, "#1 Volume Dealer." The second screen grab shows how Jeep.com picked up on this mock auto-buying intent and delivered a relevant ad outside of the search engines. Companies can use the Google Display Network to create retargeted ads serving a similar purpose.

Search: rental cars san diego

Once again this ad uses the call extension and sitelinks, but what is particularly noteworthy is the sitlinks it selects, "Last Minute Deals" and "Browse Our Specials." Since we know that local searchers tend to take action within 24 hours, these cater to what the consumer is likely looking for.
