5 Websites Doing All the Work for Their Users

One way businesses can make it easier for their digital consumers to convert is by removing all of the guesswork from their websites.

While this probably sounds like a bit of a challenge, many brands across the Web have implemented guided websites that direct consumers toward taking action (sign up, free trial, subscribe, etc.) without making them think or make choices. For some inspiration before implementing this strategy on your site, check out the five brands below that are doing all of the work for their customers:


BarkBox gets straight to the point with the most prominent element on its landing page being the simple sentence “A monthly box of dog goodies,” which accurately describes the company’s service. The company then makes it very easy for visitors to take action with the clear and bright calls-to-action (CTAs) “Get Started” and “Give As Gift.” 


Bigcommerce removes the guesswork from its site by using text to guide visitors to its very prominent CTA “Start my free trial now.” The text above the CTA explains what the free trial is for, while the text box next to the CTA engages visitors by inviting them to create their store name.


Bombfell uses a minimalistic design to showcase what its site does. The company features an image to represent its service on its landing page, as well as uses text to describe its business model on a plain white background. Below the text, users are prompted to take action with two different icons – one which enables visitors to get started with their subscription and the other which enables visitors to learn more about how the service works.

Dollar Shave Club

The Dollar Shave Club website features a video on its landing page that not only engages visitors, but also provides knowledge about the company’s service. To guide visitors to conversion, the company features text directly next to the video, which further describes its service. Below that text the company highlights the prominent call-to-action “Do It.”


GoDaddy uses simple arithmetic to guide visitors toward conversion. This is because the company features the equation “domain + website builder + email = $1 per month” directly above the bright CTA “get it now.”
