Not everyone waits until after Thanksgiving to put up their holiday decorations.

Even though decorated trees and wreaths may be common inside brick-and-mortar stores in early November, holiday decorations are becoming common on the 'Net too.

It is there that holiday design elements can drive conversions because they remind site visitors that the gift-giving season is in full force, which includes end-of-the-year promotions they won't want to miss out on.

For some inspiration of how to get your online store ready for holiday shoppers, check out the seven retailers below that already have digitally decorated stores:

1. Apple

Even a company as big as Apple can't help itself from celebrating the holidays early. Although the retailer doesn't add design touches like snowflakes or ornaments, it does feature a variety of products under a CTA for users to "find gifts" on its landing page.

2. Best Buy

Best Buy's website decorations are a bit understated, but the retailer is still making an effort to promote itself as a digital shopping destination for the holiday season. For instance, as soon as a consumer navigates to Best Buy's site, they are greeted with an email signup form to receive Black Friday deals (see image). Aside from that form, Best Buy highlights the holidays a few other places on its landing page, including in its Black Friday ad that is featured below the fold as well as in a reminder about free shipping all season long.

3. Old Navy

Old Navy's holiday decorations are quite busy, as the retailer has not only updated its navigation banner to include reindeer and trees, but also features multiple promotions on its landing page. In fact, as soon as a customer arrives on the retailer's site, Old Navy presents them with a "beat the holiday rush" offer to save 40 percent on purchases. In addition to that promotion, the retailer features an "up to 50 percent off" sale on its landing page and a gift section as consumers scroll down the page that includes a "gift finder quiz," a gift list and a CTA to purchase gift cards.

4. Original Penguin

Upon arrival to the homepage of apparel retailer Original Penguin, site visitors are called to check out the brand's holiday gift guide. In fact, the rest of the site is only available by navigation through the simplistic menu at the top of the page.

5. Petco

Petco shows that it is clearly ready for the holidays with one of the most festive sites on this list. Not only has the retailer added a holiday-themed banner to the top of its site that boasts 30-50 percent savings across the site, but it also features a holiday image of pets and gifts on its landing page with a CTA for shoppers to "see more."

6. Sephora

Sephora's site is definitely decorated for the shopping season, as the beauty retailer not only added an ornament to its logo, but has also updated its navigation menu to feature a "gifts" section that is highlighted with a heart. In addition to those designs, Sephora is featuring a promotion for its holiday edition of "Editors' Picks," which is accompanied by a "shop now" CTA.

7. Target

Target is showing off its festive side with a variety of holiday decorations on its landing page, from subtle snowflakes to a blatant Black Friday ad placement. The retailer also features a holiday-themed coupon code on its site, as well as a shopping category specifically for "Christmas" and a call-to-action (CTA) to shop kids' gifts as users scroll down the page.
