Apply Lower Case Filters in Google Analytics
Are you a Google Analytics user? If so, you may unintentionally be misunderstanding how well your pages are performing. Users that fail to implement lowercase filters in their accounts could find separate metrics for the same page! For example, if you have a page on your site that can be accessed by going to www.yoursite.com/Products.htm but you could also access the same page by typing www.yoursite.com/products.htm, Google Analytics would track them as two separate pages. Applying lowercase filters will change those field names to all lowercase letters and ensure that page views are being tracked properly.
Create A Lowercase Filter: Within Google Analytics on the Add Filter to Profile page, select the filter type "Custom". Select the radio button next to "lowercase filter" and then the filter field that you want to apply the lowercase filter to and click Finish. This does not affect historical data but filtered results will begin to show up in the reports from this point forward.
