Blogs Making Their B2B Mark

We blog about it frequently and you may be tired of reading about it - but, the business blog is important. If you didn't believe us at first, here is some more evidence.

A recent study by KnowledgeStorm and Universal McCann shows just how much the blog is affecting business. A total of 4,500 business and IT professionals were surveyed and more than 53 percent say the content from blogs has an impact on their work-related purchasing decisions. Near 80 percent say they read blogs, and more than half say they get business and technology information from blogs. Some 70 percent of respondents say they pass along or recommend content from blogs at least once per month.

In addition, 59 percent of those surveyed say they are 'somewhat' or 'very' familiar with RSS - 31 percent are subscribers.

Clearly the business sector is using blogs and RSS for business purposes more than ever. A tool for chatty people with too much time on their hands has turned into a business staple. So, if you aren't taking advantage of this powerful resource, get on it!
