Discount Design at

Posted on 6.02.2008
If you're a designer, you've probably spent countless hours designing hundreds of logos and designs that were ultimately rejected by your client. So, insteading of letting those spiffy designs rot on your hard drive, why not unload them for a little profit?

GraphicLeftovers provides the venue. This site lets you upload your unsold or unused art and set your own price for sale. You rate the piece of art by credits - 0 credits means its free, while each credit is worth $.52. From what I understand, that's a higher price than similar sites like iStock. Upload many items and keep track of them using your personal account page. Payment comes through PayPal. An added bonus, GraphicLeftovers claims to continually work on SEO benefits, meaning higher exposure for your artwork across the Internet.

Potential buyers purchase credits through the site. Ten credits run $13, while 26 credits will set you back $33. The website says, "all artwork has a value of 0-10 credits," even though it was previously stated that artists set their own prices for their work.

Anyway, if you're a designer, this looks like a decent place to get some exposure and make a few extra bucks on dead artwork. For buyers, this could be a good spot to purchase some discounted, original design work.
