Firefox 3 Beta Releases

Mozilla has just released Firefox 3, Beta 3. It's still early and even Mozilla is warning users that this Beta test is recommended for developers and testers only. According to thier site, These beta releases are targeted to Web developers and our testing community to gain feedback before advancing to the next stage in the release process. The final version of Firefox 3 will be released when we qualify the product as fully ready for our users. Some features:
  • Add-ons manager - Firefox is full of useful add-ons and now it will be easier and faster to install them.
  • Speed - Mozilla cites over 90 changes that improve performance.
  • Location bar & auto-complete - Type in part of the title, tag or address of a page and see a list of matches from your history and bookmarks. An algorithm with a frequence score returns the most relevant results.
  • Easier password management - Save passwords after a successful login.
  • One-click site info - Clicking the site favicon provides information as to who owns the site and checks the security of your connection. When a site uses Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificates, the site favicon button will turn green and show the name of the company.
