Has Google Tagged Your Site as a Malware Threat?

Posted on 8.13.2007

Google's search results recently started posting warnings about links within sites that may lead to malware threats. After clicking on a link, a warning screen will display rather than the link, telling the user that this may be a dangerous path to follow. It goes without saying that this could be damaging to your potential traffic.

The Google Webmaster Central Blog has posted some instructions on how to identify if your site has been tagged and how to submit a review of your site after you have cleaned it up. It starts by veiwing a sample of dangerous URLs then outlines the methods to remove or clean these potentially hazardous links.
