Krugle - Open-Source Code Search

Posted on 6.04.2007

Krugle has recently formed partnerships in an attempt to become the go-to search site for open-source developers, including SourceForge.net and CollabNet.

According to cofounder Ken Krugler, developers spend 25 percent or more of their time searching for code to perform certain functions that may already exists. Krugle wants to help reduce this waste of time by providing the means of finding the already existing lines of code for developers. Krugle works by letting developers search through projects, on SourceForge for example, for what they need without having to download the entire project - therefore saving precious time.
