More From PhoneSherpa

Posted on 8.09.2007
PhoneSherpa released a Custom Ringtone Platform this week which allows websites to offer custom ringtones according to their users particular music taste - signaling a shift from "canned" to "custom" ringtones. "We're looking to shake up the stagnating ringtone market by letting any Web site with a music library offer custom ringtones," said Grady Leno, CEO of Phone Sherpa.

Acording to a company statement, "The platform will allow large existing music libraries to be made immediately available as ringtones; since the user decides what part of the song they want, there is no longer a need to pre-produce the ringtone clip."  WM has covered PhoneSherpa's Mobile Store in the past. They also provide a very interesting Ringtone Maker which lets consumers take a song they own, pick the part they like and send it to their phone as their personal ringtone.
