The beauty of the current Web scene is that the playing field has never been more level. Innovative uses of technology and creative marketing tactics are allowing those with fascinating ideas to not just challenge the hyper-funded enterprises you often read about but get closer to every Internet entrepreneur’s ultimate business objective — revenue.

The catalyst for this issue of Website Services Magazine was not to determine if affiliate programs are back in vogue. In reality, they never fell out of favor with the Web marketing community. Affiliate programs are a significant force in the business marketing arsenal and, by most accounts, are more popular, more dynamic and more profitable than ever.

Developing an issue around affiliate programs was a bit of a challenge — there are lots of ways to look at the practice of revenue generation and to create working channels of supplementary income. Instead of highlighting the infinite number of programs that you can use to monetize interactions with consumers, or presenting page after page profiling people that have already achieved a modicum of online success; Website Services Magazine is offering practical, yet valuable advice about how to make the most of your online business experience.
