A Peek into Your Site’s UX
UserTesting is giving marketers, developers and designers a new look into their site’s user experience.
This is because the popular testing platform has unveiled a new service called Peek, which allows users to receive a free five-minute video of people interacting with the user’s website, mobile site or mobile app. Through the video, users can identify which elements of their website are working effectively, as well as the elements that could be hindering the user experience and pushing visitors away from their sites.
“Traditionally, user testing was so expensive and complex that only big companies could afford it,” said Ex-Apple.com Manager and Co-Founder of UserTesting Dave Garr. “So I wanted to find a way to make it available to everyone.”
In Peek’s beta run, which lasted just around four months, the service delivered more than 40,000 user tests and saw more 202,000 videos viewed. It is also important to note that Peek is pretty simple to leverage, as users simply need to enter a URL or mobile app name at peek.usertesting.com, and then click “start”. Then, within 24 hours, UserTesting will send the user a link to their video so they can see how visitors interact with their website or mobile app.
