Accelerating Ad Delivery With AMP

Google is taking its quest for a faster Web to the realm of digital advertising.

In addition to launching a new AdWords beta that lets advertisers use AMP pages as the landing pages for their search ads, Google announced that AdWords will be speeding up the ads served across the entire Google Display Network with AMP technology.

A "significant" number of ads on AMP pages from the Google Display Network are now being converted into the new AMP ad format automatically according to Google.

The new ads are reportedly able to load 5 seconds faster than regular ads without any negative visual impact. When an AMP page loads, the content and ads should load at the same speed.

Check out the difference between ads delivered on AMP and those in the previous manner.
