Acquisitions & Milestones - Trifecta, Autodesk, Microsoft and More

■ Trifecta has secured $4.3 million in funding from the Accel Partners Big Data Fund to continue developing a cross-platform interface for managing big datasets.

■ Autodesk recently acquired enterprise social collaboration company Qontext to incorporate its functionality into the Autodesk 360 cloud collaboration project.

■ Microsoft now owns security solution PhoneFactor, which adds authentication — and an extra layer of security — to users signing into a service through a phone call, text or mobile application.

■ Anametrix, a new analytics startup from the people behind Hitbox, recently scored $4.4 million in Series A funding, led primarily by TVC Capital.

■ Lockerz, a popular social commerce website, raised an additional $7.5 million in funding, which brings the company’s total to almost $80 million.

■ Alibaba, the giant Chinese Web and e-commerce company, recently began working on its newest product, a mobile operating system known as Aliyun.

■ Grouponpurchased Savored, an online restaurant reservation and deals service, for an undisclosed sum.

■ Oracle recently bought out SelectMinds, a provider of social recruiting tools that specializes in mining the networks of current and former employees for job referrals.

■ Dwolla partnered with banking and payments service mFoundry in order to offer real-time P2P mobile payment capabilities to 800-plus banks in the U.S.
