AdMob iPhone Friendly

Mobile advertising marketplace AdMob today launched a new advertising unit to help brands and companies reach Apple iPhone users.

AdMob's ad servers will recognize the iPhone user agent and serve specific advertisements to leverage the platforms core technologies, including mapping for location-based advertisers. According to its website, AdMob has served over 5.5 billion impressions to date.

"What we built takes advantage of the targeting capabilities of our platform and the unique capabilities of the iPhone to deliver rich, mobile-specific advertisements. This new user functionality - from an advertisement - is exactly what mobility is all about," states AdMob CEO Omar Hamoui.
