Ads Bring Google and Facebook Together
What can make Google and Facebook play nice? Ads of course.
The companies have come together to allow DoubleClick clients to purchase retargeted ads on Facebook’s real-time bidding exchange platform, FBX. According to the DoubleClick Advertiser Blog, “Partnership has been key to Google’s success as a rising tide lifts all boats. So we’re excited to announce a new way to help our clients succeed by working with Facebook to participate in FBX, their real-time bidding exchange.”
The blog notes that clients will be able to buy inventory on FBX via the DoubleClick Bid Manager starting in “a few months”. Currently DoubleClick helps clients access dozens of private and public exchanges in more than 75 countries, and has continued to see double-digit quarter-over-quarter growth in spend, with Q3 2013 being the platform's biggest yet.
