Aggreg8 Does For IT, What MySpace Does For Teens
Signaling what may be a shift of social networking sites from general communities to more niche groups, Microsoft has launched Aggreg8, a social networking and collaboration space for the IT community. Aggreg8 enables members to keep track of a trusted network, find others through the network with similar interests or situations, and then collaborate with anyone in the community inside "working groups" - in which members can choose to create their own working groups and collaborate with the whole community or work solely in private working groups. Collaboration tools are available including the ability to create postings, share files and share events, as well as you can tag, rate, and reply to any posting.
