All Hail Pivot Tables; The Power of Analytics in Data Studio

Google's Data Studio has released several new features that will provide users with more (and greater) analytical capabilities.

The solution now provides pivot tables to narrow down large data sets or analyze relationships between specific data points; users can also reorganize dimensions and metrics to summarize data and see relationships that may be too difficult to identify.

Google is also making some improvements to Data Studio's visualizations, adding coordinated coloring to allow users to bind colors to specific data. For example, when a user creates visualizations, the system will automatically bind colors to data, so that color data pairs stay consistent between visualizations and when filtering.

Other new features include the ability to edit report fields (e.g., rename fields, change aggregation/semantic types, and change data functions, etc.), and an indication when a Data Studio component uses a sample of Google Analytics data.
