Amazon Celebrates Its Birthday with Prime Day
In order to help celebrate its 20th birthday next week, Amazon has announced Prime Day.
On Wed., July 15, Amazon will be offering more deals than it des on what is traditionally the largest shopping day in the country, Black Friday. New and existing members of Amazon Prime will see Lightning Deals starting at midnight with new deals popping up throughout the day and in some cases as quickly as every 10 minutes.
Also, to help celebrate its birthday, as well as advertise their Prime Photos offering, Amazon is offering Prime members a chance to win a $10,000 Amazon gift card through a #PrimeLiving Photo Contest. Members have between July 6 and July 15 to submit their photos on the contest page.
“Prime Day is a one-day only event filled with more deals than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members around the globe. Members tell us every day how much they love Prime and we will keep making it better,” said Greg Greeley, vice president of Amazon Prime. “If you’re not already a Prime member, you’ll want to join so you don’t miss out on one of the biggest deals extravaganzas in the world.”
