Amazon Launches Live App Testing Tool for Developers
Out of the 2 hours and 42 minutes consumers spend on their smartphones per day, 2 hours and 19 minutes of that time is spent on apps. With so many apps in already in the marketplace it’s important for developers to not only conceive an original app but also make sure that it works flawlessly upon its release.
To help developers on the quest to perfecting their apps performance, Amazon has announced the launch of a Live App Testing tool.
With the new tool, developers can distribute their apps to a list of pre-determined testers via the Amazon Appstore. Testers will be notified and granted access to the app through an email invite and can test the apps on any Amazon Fire (including Fire TV and Fire Phone) as well as Android devices.
Live App Testing also offers basic analytic information to developers testing with information including when testers start and end date as well as the amount of crashes developers encountered among other things.
