An Inside Look at YOUR Facebook Audience
Facebook recently released Audience Insights, a new tool to help brands learn about their business customers.
Facebook's Audience Insights tool provides page publishers access to aggregate information about demographics (age, gender, education, relationship status, job role, household size), page likes (the top pages people like in different categories), geography (location and language), Facebook usage (how frequently people in your target audience log into Facebook and what device they are using), as well as purchase behavior.
Page managers will be able to view this information for the general Facebook audience, for the people connected to their Page or event, as well as people in Custom Audiences that have have already been created.
Do note that there is a difference between Audience Insights and Page Insights. The former looks at trends about current or potential customers across Facebook, whereas Page Insights looks at the interactions with a specific Page (e.g. likes, comments and shares).
