As the world becomes more enveloped by data on a daily basis, analytics companies have jumped at the chance to quell an enterprise's data needs.

For some analytics providers this has resulted in the introduction of new services to the market while for others it has resulted in mutually beneficial partnerships.

Analytics provider FirstRain has announced that it has joined Salesforce's Analytics Cloud ecosystem.

By leveraging the combined power of FirstRain's Business Graph and Salesforce's Analytics Cloud, companies will be able to explore data with advanced insights using analytics drawn from unstructured Web and social media sources. This means that companies will be able to discover previously unseen data points and trends that will help to not only help to explain why the company is performing as it is but also help to improve performance in the future.

"FirstRain uses deep data science, unstructured text analytics on the Web and social media and sophisticated personalization to create the deep personal understanding of the customer's business that is critical to every business professional today," said Penny Herscher, FirstRain president and CEO. "We're excited to see the enormous productivity gains the combination of Analytics Cloud with FirstRain's insights and analytics will give our mutual customers."
