Apptive Revamps DIY App Builder

Posted on 2.24.2013

Small businesses looking to launch a mobile app in 2013 have many DIY platforms to choose from, including Apptive.

The company recently announced an upgrade to its EasyApp service, which features a new user interface, iOS and Android support, as well as updated content and design capabilities. Moreover, the platform features a drag and drop interface, which doesn't require users to have technical or coding knowledge.

EasyApp 2.0 also has an expanding library of customizable modules that allow businesses to incorporate a variety of features into their apps, including deal delivery via smartphone based push notifications, take-out food ordering for restaurants and ticket sales for entertainment venues. Additionally, EasyApp provides module recommendations based on business type so that clients can leverage the most relevant and useful features within their apps.

“Nearly all businesses, organizations and non-profits can benefit from a mobile app, but until now getting one has been too costly, time-consuming and complicated,” said Chris Belew, CEO of Apptive. “EasyApp makes it simple and economical for anyone to get a beautiful, high-impact mobile app in minutes. No longer do you have to be a Starbucks or McDonalds to leverage the power of an app. We have leveled the playing field and are helping small businesses and organizations participate in today’s increasingly mobile economy.”

Apptive offers two different pricing plans – the Basic plan, which is free and allows clients to create an app themselves, as well as the Pro plan, which allows clients to use an Apptive designer to create the app.
