As Mobile Activity Increases So Does the Need for Mobile Ads

As consumers turn to their mobile devices for more daily activities, mobile companies are taking financial advantage of the increased activity and engagement through ads.

MeetMe, a public market for social discovery, has announced the expansion of its ad management relationship with Beanstock Media, a premium Publisher Trading Desk.

With a 20 percent increase in active daily mobile users from Q1 2014 to Q4, MeetMe experienced rapid growth in their user base, which resulted in increased user engagement demonstrated by its chat growth of more than 100 percent. To help manage the mobile ads that will be delivered to the increased mobile user base, MeetMe will begin placing ad calls with Beanstock Media in March 2015 an continue until the end of the year.

According to the new agreement, Beanstock Media will be taking over to manage MeetMe’s mobile ad inventory for Pinsight Media+.

“Beanstock Media has proven to be a trusted and reliable partner since we began working with them in October 2013 to optimize revenue from our global web-based remnant ad inventory, and we are excited to expand our relationship to mobile,” said Bill Alena, Chief Revenue Officer of MeetMe. “With this agreement, we expect to have continued strong visibility into revenue and smoothed quarterly seasonality in advertising rates.”
