Audacity (Audio Editor) – New Version Available

Posted on 7.20.2009

If you’re a podcaster you’re going to adore the new Audacity beta release (1.3.8).

While this is but a development version and will be the basis of the next stable version, serious podcasters are going to love this release of the open-source audio recording and mixing platform.

New features of the last stable release include some great improvements to effects and analysis including noise removal and faster equalization, interface modifications such as a new mixer board and other developments such as the ability to record more than 16 channels. A full list of new features in Audacity 1.3.8 beta are available on SourceForge.net.
