Automatic Ad Formats for WordPress

Upwards of 25 percent of websites today are powered by Wordpress and many are monetized through Google's AdSense program. 

Wordpress was at one time so important to Google that the company released a plugin for the purpose of making it easier for publishers to implement the code. It was far from the best plugin on the market, and there were many other options that offered as much if not more control than Google's own plugin, but publishers quickly began using it in big numbers.

Google however will no longer support the plugin and it has left many publishers scrambling to come up with an alternative way to generate revenue from their website. While some will abandon Google for other providers, and others will begin using competitive plugins, still others will opt to use the new QuickStart offering. 

What is unique and appealing about the QuickStart offering is that it uses the same AdSense code that publishers used when they initially connected their site to AdSense. What the presence of this"page-level" code means is that publishers only need to "flick a switch" in the AdSense dashboard for ads to start appearing. Publishers can select and turn on QuickStart ads (and optionally anchor/overlay ads and/or Vignette ads) in the Page-level Ads section.
