Bigcommerce Collaborates with PayPal

Posted on 6.01.2015

Mobile sites have come a long way since their inception and as consumers browsing and purchasing habits morph from desktop to mobile, companies must think about the entire customer journey when designing a site.

Bigcommerce, an e-commerce platform, has recently announced a collaboration with Braintree and PayPal.

Through the team-up Bigcommerce will be able to provide access to PayPal’s One Touch payment solution for Web and mobile stores to their merchants. For those unfamiliar with PayPal One Touch, the solution enables consumers to pay without needing to enter a user ID or password after their first login. In addition to One Touch, merchants will have access to other solutions offered by PayPal including Express Checkout.

Bigcommerce states that merchants in the U.S. will be able to leverage the payment solutions in the coming weeks with the international rollout expected later this year.

“This collaboration reflects our shared vision to deliver seamless experiences that help merchants grow their businesses and sell more,” said Eddie Machaalani, co-founder and CEO for Bigcommerce. “What PayPal has delivered through One Touch for the web is a future-proof payments solution that will enable our merchants to stay at the forefront of innovation while streamlining the day-to-day management of their businesses.”
