BigCommerce Eases Multi-Channel Selling
BigCommerce is simplifying multi-channel selling with the launch of Channel Manager.
Channel Manager is designed to help merchants grow sales and sell across channels. The Channel Manager menu will be available to merchants in the sidebar navigation within their BigCommerce control panel. From there, merchants can follow the prompts in order to see the options to connect their store and begin selling on Facebook and Pinterest. What’s more, merchants can sign up to be notified for when BigCommerce adds support for other channels like eBay, which the company claims will be included later this year.
It is important to note that Channel Manager enables merchants to sync their catalog across channels. Plus, Channel Manager’s built-in bulk export and inventory syncing helps merchants save time spent listing products on third-party sales channels by using product information already stored in BigCommerce catalogs.
“With purchases taking place across so many different channels — online stores, social networks, physical retail locations and marketplaces — Channel Manager gives retailers a comprehensive way to manage their entire online business,” said Michael Burk, senior director of product, BigCommerce. “We created Channel Manager with the intent to help merchants run their businesses more efficiently and empower them with a complete overview of their sales, allowing them to make changes to listings, pricing and availability in real-time.”
In addition to support for new sales channels later this year, BigCommerce notes that it will be also be adding new functionality to Channel Manager, including giving merchants more control over customizing individual product listings.
